China Abrasive Materials Weekly Price (30th Mar-5th Apr): Some BFA Factories Tend To Halt Production
Since late March, the price of alumina oxide in China has fallen by about 200 RMB/ ton, and it is still in a state of decline. The market sentiment is also not optimistic. Affected by this, the price of white fused alumina continued to fall this week, with a decline of around 50-100 RMB/ ton.
From March to the present, Covid-19 pandemic outbreaks in many countries such as in Europe and the United States have reached their peak, and the market demand for brown fused alumina has gradually been affected, and market prices have fluctuated.
At present, some brown fused alumina manufacturers indicate that the net loss will be 200 RMB/ ton at the current purchase price of cooked bauxite. As a result, starting from April 6th,
some companies have chosen to halt the production and take a wait and see attitude to the market. Some grit sizes of brown fused alumina have been out of stake.
It is expected that in the next week, based on the firm production costs, the price of brown fused alumina in China may remain weak and stable.
3. Black Silicon Carbide
This week, the market price of China's black silicon carbide abrasives remained stable. However, in view of the decline in the price of the original black silicon carbide block, it is expected that the price of black silicon carbide abrasives will decline slightly in the next week.
4. Green Silicon Carbide
This week, China's green silicon carbide abrasive market has sufficient supply and stable demand. The prices remained stable.
