China Abrasive Materials Weekly Price (6-12 Apr): Some BFA Smelting Factories Stopped Production
This week, due to the continued decline in the price of raw material alumina oxide, the price of white fused alumina in China fell again by about 50 RMB/ ton.
In addition, due to the current global pandemic, demand for the white fused alumina outside China is weak, and so is the domestic market demand. Affected by the pessimism of the industry, some white fused alumina smelting companies in Henan Province have stopped production, and the current sales in the market are mainly spot cash transactions to avoid risks.
In order to avoid losses, some brown fused alumina smelting companies in Henan Province have officially shut down their furnaces and stopped production, and some grits of brown fused alumina may be out of stock.
In addition, since the mine control has not been lifted, the price of high-grade bauxite is still rising slightly due to the tightening supply, which supports the current stable market price of brown fused alumina.
3. Black Silicon Carbide
This week, as the price of black silicon carbide raw blocks fell in the past month, the price of black silicon carbide abrasives also declined, with a reduction of about 100 to 200 RMB/ ton. It is expected that in the next week, if the price of the original block continues to fall, black silicon carbide abrasives may have a further possibility of falling.

This week, China's green silicon carbide abrasive market has sufficient supply and stable demand. Prices remained stable.
