China Abrasive Materials Weekly Price (8th -14th April): Market supply is still tight

1. White Fused Alumina

This week, because China's white fused alumina production enterprises generally hold a large number of signed orders, the market spot is still tight. It is expected that in the coming week, the market price of China's white fused alumina will not be affected by factors such as the price reduction of raw materials and the reduction of value-added tax, and will continue to operate smoothly.

2. Brown Fused Alumina

This week, due to factors such as rising raw material costs and difficulties in purchasing, the production capacity of China's brown fused alumina enterprises was partially affected. The market spot supply was in short supply. At present, the supply of raw material bauxite is a key factor affecting the price trend of brown fused alumina. Since 2019, the price of sintered bauxite in China has risen by about USD 22.35/ton, and the supply is still tight.

In addition, the tight supply of bauxite has added the cost pressure of brown fused alumina producers. It intends to raise the price of products again in the near future. However, since April, the implementation of the national tax reduction and fee reduction policy has reduced the value-added tax from 16% to 13 %, the downstream purchase customers have a price reduction behavior, which has prevented the brown fused alumina price from increasing again in the near future. It is expected that the price of China's brown corundum market will continue to run at a high level in the coming week.

3. Black Silicon Carbide

This week, the black silicon carbide market in China has basically returned to normal, and the price trend is stable. The downstream demand of the industry was generally weak, the upstream production enterprises were weakened, the inventory was slowly accumulated, and the market spot supply tension was also eased. It is expected that the price of China's black silicon carbide market will remain stable in the coming week.

4. Green Silicon Carbide

This week, the prices of green silicon carbide original blocks, granular sand, fine powder have been running smoothly. However, with the tight supply in the market, it is expected that the price of China's green silicon carbide market will increase slightly in the coming week.
