China Abrasive Materials Weekly Price (10th -16th June): Price Of Bauxite On The Rise
This week, the white fused smelting enterprises in Shangjie District of Zhengzhou were asked to start emergency shutdown at 10 pm on June 14, due to an emergency environmental protection meeting. It is expected to stop production until the end of June. In addition, the white fused alumina smelting furnace in Liaocheng area of Shandong Province was completely shut down due to the failure of the power supply unit of Xinfa Industrial Park on June 4, and the original expected production stoppage time was 4-5 days, but it was not started until June 13. Due to the downturn in factory orders caused by the low operating rate in the past few months, there is currently no excess inventory in the production of white fused alumina. It is expected that the price of white fused alumina will remain firm in the coming week.
This week, except for the Dengfeng area, the brown fused alumina smelting enterprises in Henan are in normal production. However, due to shortage of raw materials, rising costs and a decline in operating rates, the high-grade bauxite prices have a rising trend in some regions in China. And with the mine control in Shanxi and the rainy season in Guizhou, the supply of bauxite in the near future will continue to be tight. At the same time, due to the impact of the market environment, China's abrasives industry demand has not seen significant improvement, brown fused alumina market transactions are still slow. It is expected that in the coming week, due to cost support, the market price of brown fused alumina will be weak and stable.
3. Black Silicon Carbide
This week, China's black silicon carbide market demand continues to be weak, and prices are supported by production cost support, but black silicon carbide producers' profits are being squeezed. Since mid-May, due to environmental inspections in Ningxia, the price of anthracite, the main raw and auxiliary materials for silicon carbide, has risen strongly, supporting the steady operation of silicon carbide prices. It is expected that in the coming week, due to factors such as the continued sluggish market demand, the price of black silicon carbide will be slightly reduced.
4. Green Silicon Carbide
This week, it is reported that the production increase plan of two green silicon carbide original block manufacturers in Xinjiang will be delayed until the end of June or early July. Due to this, the current domestic supply of green silicon carbide raw block market has not been effectively alleviated, and there is almost no inventory in the market. It is expected that the price of China's green silicon carbide market will remain stable in the coming week.
