This week, with the official end of the heating season in northern China, most brown fused alumina enterprises in Henan have resumed production, but only a few brown fused alumina smelting enterprises have resumed production normally. According to industry sources, brown corundum smelting enterprises in Sanmenxia and Yichuan area may not be able to fully resume production in the short term due to electricity price issues. In addition, it is worth noting that the current company has a large inventory of coarse grades, so the price of brown fused alumina with different grades also changes. It is expected that in the next week, due to the insufficient operation of smelting enterprises, the production capacity of brown fused alumina enterprises will also be limited, and the price of brown fused alumina may run smoothly.
Due to the rising price of raw material anthracite, most black silicon carbide manufacturers slightly raised the price this week, but some downstream abrasives companies refused to purchase at higher prices, and the market sentiment became more and more wait-and-see. It is expected that in the next week, supported by the high cost of raw materials, the price of black silicon carbide is still likely to continue to rise.
Supported by the rising prices of raw materials such as petroleum coke, most green silicon carbide manufacturers further raised the price. In the past month, green silicon carbide manufacturers in Xinjiang have issued price adjustment letters in succession, raising the price of green silicon carbide products several times. Green silicon carbide has also risen by about RMB 2,000 /ton. It is expected that in the next week, supported by the price of raw materials, the price of green silicon carbide may be firm at a high level.
