China Abrasive Materials Weekly Price (21-27Dec): Raw and auxiliary materials price continue to rise
This week, due to the continuous increase in the price of the raw material alumina, white fusd alumina manufacturers raised their prices slightly by about RMB 50/ton.
Due to the large-scale production suspension since the beginning of December, the market price of brown fused alumina in China has risen this week, with some companies rising by about RMB 50-100/ton. In view of the current shortage of spot supply in the market caused by the suspension of production, industry insiders predict that the price of brown fused alumina may rise furtherly in the coming week.
In addition, the recent surge in natural gas prices is undoubtedly a major blow to bauxite burning factories who use natural gas as fuel. According to some companies, it is difficult to start production under the current natural gas prices as the excessive costs will lead to losses at current prices. Therefore, product price increases will be inevitable.
This week, due to the continuous increase in the price of anthracite coal, which led to an increase in production costs, some black silicon carbide companies in China believe that the price of black silicon carbide may continue to rise in the next week.
This week, considering that the prices of petroleum coke and other raw materials are still at a high level, the price of green silicon carbide remains strong. In addition, some companies in Xinjiang may plan to suspend production in mid-January.
