China Abrasive Materials Weekly Price (25th-31st May): The abrasive market is calm
This week, due to the stable price of raw material alumina, the price of white fused alumina in China has hardly changed. In addition, because some downstream abrasive companies have bought on dips when the prices of white fused alumina were low, and had a certain amount of stock, it takes time to consume. It is expected that the abrasive companies will mainly consume raw material inventory in the near future, and the weak market demand is difficult to change in the short term. It is expected that the price of white fused alumina in China will remain stable in the coming week.
This week, the market demand for brown fused alumina in my China continues to be weak, and nearly half of the enterprises in Henan still maintain the state of production suspension. In addition, as abrasive companies generally take a cautious wait-and-see attitude towards the market conditions from June to July, they are not actively purchasing brown fused alumina, and market transactions have been slow. It is expected that in the next week, supported by the current stable production costs, the price of brown fused alumina may run smoothly.
3. Black Silicon Carbide
This week, due to the weak downstream demand in the domestic market, the black silicon carbide abrasives market transactions were slow. To prevent further inventory backlogs, most smelting companies in northwest China choose to reduce production or stop production to cope with the current situation. However, due to firm production costs, China’s silicon carbide manufacturing companies have no intention of lowering product prices. Therefore, it is expected that the price of black silicon carbide abrasives in China will remain stable in the coming week.
4. Green Silicon Carbide
This week, China's green silicon carbide block market demand is weak, and transactions are slow, so prices have been slightly lower than last week. Although green silicon carbide grains and fine powder processing enterprises have no intention to lower prices, in the face of market competition pressures, the prices of green silicon carbide abrasives and fine powders have slightly decreased by 100-300 RMB/ton. It is expected that the price of green silicon carbide abrasives in China will run weakly and stably in the coming week.
