China Abrasive Materials Weekly Price (28 Dec-3 Jan): Environmental protection control is lifted
This week, the price of white fused alumina metallurgical-grade alumina is still rising, compared with last week, with an increase of about RMB 20/ton. Therefore, supported by cost, white fused alumina further stabilized its price. It is expected that in the coming week, China's white fused alumina prices may remain firm.
This week, due to the lifting of Henan's environmental protection control, most local brown fused alumina companies are about to resume production. Some companies said that because the factories have no inventory currently, so in the first half month after the resumption of production, they will mainly focus on completing the delivery of orders during the shutdown period. It is expected that in the coming week, China's brown fused alumina prices may remain firm.
This week, as the prices of anthracite and other raw materials are still high and stable, it is expected that the price of black silicon carbide may remain stable in the coming week.
Since the beginning of winter, as the prices of raw and auxiliary materials such as petroleum coke and anthracite have continued to rise, the price of green silicon carbide raw blocks has increased by more than RMB 400/ton. Therefore, green silicon carbide manufacturers continue to be under pressure of the current production cost and refuse to reduce price. It is reported that some companies may have notified customers that the price of green silicon carbide will start to increase in early January.
